Arctic Cosiness at Nilimella Resort

Nilimella Resort is located in Central Lapland, in Sodankylä, surrounded by northern forests and rivers that shape both the landscape and the atmosphere of the interiors.

After exploring the essence of the Nilimella brand, the interior design concept focused on creating a cosy, relaxed environment — a modern and distinctive interpretation of cottage interiors. The new brand colours — green, deep brown and a light coral accent — form an earthy and balanced foundation for the space.

Natural materials, carefully selected furniture, layered lighting and bespoke textiles come together through interior design to create a calm and welcoming guest experience. Soft upholstered pieces add warmth, while lighting highlights textures and defines intimate, cosy zones throughout the resort.

Custom-designed textiles continue the brand story through modern interpretations of the arctic sun and reindeer, enhancing both visual identity and acoustic comfort. A unique wall piece featuring a wood grouse adds a striking detail to the kitchen area.

The result is a relaxed and memorable environment where interior design, materials, furniture, lighting and textiles work seamlessly together — creating a distinctive northern atmosphere that reflects Nilimella Resort’s identity.
